A What The ???

Got back from the Galapagos Islands the day before yesterday! It was bloody amazing. Saw so many cool animals just wandering around not caring about humans disturbing them. So many landscapes so many different worlds. I seriously advise everyone to go.

Now Im back in Guayaquil, heading down to Peru tonight. Crossing the border and heading to Mancora. It's gonna be a different experience I think, since the place seems to be crowded by Gringos....

It's been pretty intensed, but now I'm looking for a tour to Galapagaos Islands. Its bloody expensive, but Im sure it will be worth it.

The Cali Cartel

Since I left Bogota, Ive visited Manizales and Armenia. At the moment Im in Cali. Getting closer to the border now. Probably gonna cross it on the 10th of january. im really looking forward to see Ecuador. But Im really gonna miss Colombia. It is a truley awesom country. Dont believe what people tell you. Its amazing. If anyone wants to go, bring me with you.
Manizales, was a really cool city. Not much to see except from the Feria. People go out in the streets and have a great time. Everyine is drunk and having a blast.
Armenia was a nice city. I had really low expectations on this little town. But it was actually really enjoyable.
Now Im off to bed, to discover Cali tomorrow!!

Blog-otá

I made it to Bogotá. And I have just celebrated New Years. I got back a bit early. I didn't go out clubbing and getting wasted with my fellow tourists - I went with a friend to experience a more authentic, colombian-family New Years. And I am glad to admit that it was a great time as well. And it also aided the longing of friends and family in Sweden.
So, a new year and a new time for new things. It's really hard to come up with a good "New Years promise". Normally pople who make these promises tend to break them. Therefore I'm not wishing for anything specific. I hope that everyone keep their health and don't get sick. I hope people become happier this year. And for myself... I'm actually really pleased with what I'm doing right now. So I hope 2011 will be an awesome year and that it brings me a lot of interesting people and experiences.

Happy New Years to you all!

The Un-dangerous Medellin

I've been in Medellin for longer than I expected. But I have to tell you, that this is the greatest city I've come across so far. It's got so much. Maybe not to see, but there are so many things to enjoy. There is people, bars, restaurants. And somehow there is just a a special vibe to it. People are laid back but still get things done. The climate is optimal, since I have not seen rain for the passed days. It's not too hot, nor too cold. Today I am off with some other Swedish people I met up with, we are going on a Pablo Escobar tour. Tomorrow we are going to the Guatape - a huge rock you can climb, with an amazing view!
Forget everything bad you have ever heard of Colombia, especially if the person telling you, never been there. Colombia is Beautiful!

¿Qué Más?

Today is my last day here in Montería. I've been saying that for the passed three days. But I just enjoy it so much. It's a really authentic Colombian city I suppose. The people are really nice, they are laid back, everything has it's own pace and people just seem so happy. I've got to know so many new people and there are more to come. I wis to thank everyone who has been by my side here, showing me around, letting me particpate in volounteering and so on. I will return to this beautiful place again. Of that I am sure!

A la Orden

Colombia, what a missunderstood country. I have never met so many nice people, such a friendly culture and I have never felt so relaxed walking along the streets. Forget everything you have ever heard of Colombia, the guerilla, the drugs the danger. That's bullshit. The are of course places that are more dangerous, but so is the entire world. Colombia is beautiful. I started off in Cartagena. One of the most beautiful cities. The arquitecture of the older parts of town - incredible! The people here, claim, just like the costa ricans, to be the happiest people on the planet. I stronly recommend everyone to come here and to take part of this country. I have still got four cities to visit, and I am really looking forward to it!
